Chris Madrid's - San Antonio's Beloved Burgers and Casual Dining Experience

Atmosphere, and food are great, tried the chalupas, and nachos and loved the amount of cheese that’s added. The burger was good, as well as the milkshake, and coke. Fries were a small, but cane with plenty to share. Parking is top notch with the both sides, and the front having spots.

My wife and I stopped by after showing homes to clients in the area, and we were craving a great burger. Chris Madrid’s absolutely delivered. The atmosphere is fantastic, both inside and out, and the customer service was outstanding. There was a small mix-up with one of our burgers, but the staff handled it immediately and with a smile, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, the food was excellent. If you’re reading this review trying to decide where to eat, look no further, this place is a must.

Was in San Antonio for a meeting and was recommended Chris Madrid’s by a trusted friend. I took 5 friends and we all thought it was great. We had various burgers, fries, shakes and drinks. I had their famous tostada burger. Everything was delicious and the staff was super nice. We all loved the vibe and the local feel. 6 enthusiastic . The exemplified do one thing and do it right.

I loved my food as did most of us who had hamburgers. But my husband had what we thought was actually nachos and this was literally just 5 nacho chips with beans and cheese. That was very disappointing. The burgers and fries were good but stay clear of the nachos. We even looked on line to see if we missed something and it does not specify you only receive 5 chips. The staff were okay. It would have been nice if the girl at the counter maybe explained that to us when we told her we had not been there before and that was the only thing my husband ordered for lunch. Quite expensive lunch for 5 chips. The place is very colorful and you can tell well loved. The decor is unique and there are plenty of seating inside and out.

Locals know! Humble beginnings in 1977 on Mulberry to this great location on Blanco. My husband, San Antonio native was so excited that Chris Madrid's thrives. Delicious affordable burgers, fries, bean and cheese nachos and more, full bar, great condiment and drink station. Housemade fresh daily refried beans and pico de gallo. Generous indoor and outdoor with misters seating, small area for a band, plenty of parking. Get a delicious burger!

After living in San Antonio for so many years, I finally had the chance to visit Chris Madrid's, and I can’t believe I waited this long. This place is a true San Antonio classic. The burgers are on another level — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can tell they’ve mastered what they do after so many years serving the community. Every bite tastes fresh and satisfying. The atmosphere feels authentic and laid-back, the kind of place where locals have been coming for generations. It’s casual, fun, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a real burger. If you live in San Antonio or you’re just visiting, this is definitely one of those iconic spots you have to experience at least once. I’ll definitely be coming back

We have always enjoyed coming here.its a go to place us when friends are visiting. The burgers are large and shareable. They do fresh cut fries but we don’t care for them. We always get a burger and the nachos to share. I forgot to take pictures until after we started eating. Many times we when been there has been live music.

Fast order, quick to you and a relaxing atmosphere. I had the 1/4lb cheddar. With all the trimmings. Fresh, Hot and the bun was soft & huge! Ordered a small fry and it was the size of other burg places large! Fresh cut potatoes and very hot right to your table. Looking forward towards my next visit!
